About us

Meet owner and operator, Michael Monzon.

With over 30 years of experience and as one of North America’s top Japanese-style teppanyaki masters, “Tattoo Mike” is no stranger to the theatrics of blending food and flair with his high-flying knives skills.  

Chef Monzon comes from humble beginnings, landing his initial jobs in the teppanyaki industry locally, in the heart of Seattle. Since then, he has been working his way up the ladder with diligence and determination to become teppanyaki royalty.

Being the best pays off, as he has been featured in big-name magazines such as Restaurant Hospitality and worked at top teppanyaki restaurants throughout Hawaii and the West Coast. He has also made appearances as a competitor on “Chopped” and “Teppanyaki Takedown.”
